Gacha The Frog
Release in early 2027

We got 2nd place!

Gacha the Frog is a chill physics-based clicker full of collectable frogs.

It was born as a submission for Micro Jam #42 where it got 2nd place. We are now expanding it into a full game, written from scratch, with our own engine.

In the original version there are 48 different types of frog which are available from Gacha machines. The players are challenged to complete the album on Common, Unusual, Rare and, if they can, Legendary frogs. The shop has a few items to play with, some autoclick the frogs for you, others help save space and there is also a basketball hoop to throw the frogs in.

Expanding the game

For the full version, we are expanding the selection of frogs. Adding new skins of each rarity and new biomes with entirely different frogs, so that your collection can grow even larger. More items are also coming and the ability to upgrade them. You will be able to compose their behaviours into new interactions, for a speck of automation.

We are particularly fond of the special shipping boxes: A way to send your frogs into all the new minigames, which are fun activities where you use your frogs to get coins, multipliers and rare items.

Who are we?

We are a group of brazilian game devs that got together to make fun games.
We brainstormed Gacha The Frog in a hurry after finding out that the jam modifier was that there only be mouse input. The idea came up as a cutesy clicker with physics features to play around with, later we decided to have a collectible aspect to the frogs as well. It was the 3rd or 4th game jam we did together.
